De Lacy Academy has a reputation as a caring school, which places the individual at the very heart of what we do. Visitors to our school regularly comment upon the warm and friendly atmosphere created by the positive relationship between staff and students.

We are an academy with great aspirations; always striving to improve the future, whilst celebrating student wellbeing, high academic standards and achievement for all in the present. We firmly believe that we are an academy in which your child can achieve and be inspired.

We have a hugely talented and committed staff team, who are dedicated in making sure that every student has a curriculum and enrichment opportunities that meets their needs. We pride ourselves on having high expectations, which ensures that our students are well organised, caring and supportive of each other and the community. This is underpinned by the strong pastoral care our students receive from our dedicated team of staff, which ensures we have a calm and well-ordered environment, which is focussed on the successful outcomes for all.

We work closely with our local primaries and welcome members of the community into our academy every evening. The community makes great use of our faculties and our primary school links ensure that their students reap the benefits of all that we can offer.

We pride ourselves on very close, open and positive relationships with parents and carers, and expect them to be fully involved in supporting the learning of their son or daughter; we are an academy that believes in supporting the community we serve

De Lacy Academy enjoys the many benefits of being a member of the Delta Academies Trust; a group, or ‘family’ of schools of different age ranges and contexts, this enables good practice, expertise and resources to be shared between our group of schools and ultimately enables us to offer greater collaboration between each other and a wider range of learning opportunities and extra-curricular opportunities for our students.

At the centre of all we do is the commitment to provide a first class education to our students through working collaboratively as a staff and with our external partners, we can ensure that each student has the opportunity to achieve success and fulfil their potential.
