Charity/Non Uniform Day

As part of our wider curriculum, De Lacy Academy is running a charity week, commencing on 19th July 2021, to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

This is an amazing charity that does some incredible work however, they rely on donations in order to maintain operational. Throughout the week there will be different events running. Ask your child to keep an eye out for advertisements of these.

On Thursday 22nd July, we will allow students to attend school in non-uniform, however students must donate £1 to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance via ParentPay. Students should be dressed appropriately for school as lessons will proceed as normal.

Also, on Thursday 22nd July, each year group will have one lesson of sports activities. Unfortunately, we are unable to run sports day as we normally would due to Covid-19, however we want students to still have the experience.

We therefore recommend that students come into school in trainers so they are able to participate. Changing facilities will not be available on this day, so please ensure your child is dressed
appropriately.

Every child MUST have their PE bib for this day.
