Leading Parent Partnership Award

This year De Lacy Academy has decided to engage with The Leading Parent Partnership Award as we value the contibutions of our parents and wider schools community.  This award will enable to work in conjuction with parents and other stakeholders to improve our Academy. 

To achieve this award we must evidence the following:-

CommitmentThe schools demonstrates a commitment to work towards achieving the award.
Effective PlansThe school makes and implements effective plan to achieve and maintain the award.
WelcomingThe school is welcoming, communicative and friendly place for parents.
Promoting awarenessThe school promotes the awareness and participation of all groups of parents in supporting their children’s learning and developing their own.
InductionThe school provides a good induction for all new parents.
Guidance and informationThe school provides parents with relevant and user-friendly guidance and information to help them support their children’s learning.
Parent-Friendly PoliciesThe school produces and implements parent-friendly policies to establish effective home-school links and improve children’s attendance, punctuality, progress and positive participation in school.
SupportThe school provides good support for all parents as their children move through or leave the school.
Future plansThe school summarises its achievements against the LPPA objectives and outlines its future plans.

Thank you to all of the parents who completed the Parent Voice survey in Novemeber 2020.  This was extremely helpful for our school in identifying areas that we may need to develop.  You can find the results and actions from that survey in the documents below.

One of the main actions we have taken is to improve our communication with all key stakeholders.  Not only have we increased the usage of our School Gateway app, we have set up the following platforms to keep parents infomed.  We also have created opportunities for our parents and carers to access online and in school learning opportunities.  For more information, please click on the link below.
