White school shirt - students in Year 11 only may wear a blue school shirt.

School tie.

Black trousers or skirt with Delta logos on for Y7/8/9 otherwise - smart, not jeans, leggings/jeggings or other fashion trousers/skirt. Tube skirts are not allowed. Trousers and skirts need to be tailored smart wear - tight fitting skirts and trousers are not acceptable.

Black shoes - not trainers or pumps. Shoes must be formal and of a type that can be polished.

A plain black V-necked jumper or cardigan is optional.

Smart outdoor coat.

Navy blue shorts with school logo.

Navy blue socks.


Outdoor coats - Coats should be dark in colour, e.g. black or navy, and should have no large logos. Please note, hoodies will not be allowed.

Bag - Students require a plain school bag, which can be fastened securely in Y10 & Y11. All other year groups must have a blue academy back pack.


Hairstyles and colour should be sensible. No offensive patterns should be shaven into hairstyles. Hair accessories should be discreet and black or purple, no scarves or bandanas (unless for religious reasons).


No jewellery is allowed except a wristwatch and Medic Alert necklace or bracelet. If any student is thinking about having their ears pierced, this should be done at the start of the summer holidays, as no student will be allowed to wear earrings.


Nail polish is not allowed.

Any make up worn by older students should be very discreet. Student will be asked to remove make up if it is not discreet.


All students will need a pen, pencil, ruler and rubber. A scientific calculator, such as SHARP EL-W531, a pair of compasses, a protractor and a dictionary would also be useful.

You must bring a full change of PE kit to every PE lesson even if you have a note and are not taking part. If you do not have your PE kit then you must borrow some from school. Failure to do so will mean you receive a C5. If you do not bring your PE kit but still borrow from school more than once in a half term then you will receive a C4 detention and every time you do not bring kit thereafter.

Please note: Students will not be reminded of our uniform policy and will be issued with an SLT detention if it is not adhered to at all times.

All students in Year 7-11 are required to wear the Academy uniform, jackets must be worn, with shirts tucked in at ALL TIMES. Academy jumpers can be worn under their jacket. In classes, Academy blazers can be removed with the approval of the class teacher. On very hot days, the Principal may notify students that they are allowed to remove their blazers. On such occasions, blazers must be carried and never forced into bags or tied around the waist. Blazers must always be worn on corridors and when entering or leaving the Academy grounds at the start of the day.

Any items of clothing, jewellery or hair accessories that do not adhere to the above policy will be confiscated and an SLT detention will be issued. Parents may wish to collect these items at the end of the Academy day.

NB: The final decision with regard to all issues relating to uniform will be made by the Principal.
